The talks at the ministry’s headquarters focused on increasing collaboration in technical training, simulation technologies, and human capacity building through partnerships with specialized British aviation firms.
El-Hefny said the aviation ministry is prioritizing the modernization of its operational systems and the expansion of joint ventures with leading British institutions to upgrade Egypt's air transport infrastructure and service efficiency.
He added that the ministry places significant emphasis on developing training and qualification programs, exchanging expertise, attracting high-quality investments and benefiting from advanced technologies to support comprehensive development plans and enhance service efficiency, further consolidating Egypt’s position as a regional hub for air transport.
Ambassador Richardson affirmed his country’s commitment to sustaining bilateral cooperation in civil aviation to support trade, investment, and tourism links.
Ambassador Mark Bryson Richardson also expressed the UK’s anticipation of a strong Egyptian participation in the Farnborough International Airshow 2026, scheduled to take place in July.
He further affirmed British support for participation in the El Alamein International Airshow, due to be held in New Alamein City in September 2026, describing it as an international platform for exchanging expertise and expanding partnerships in a way that serves mutual interests in the air transport industry.
