The call focused on developments in Lebanon amid heightened regional tensions, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's "full solidarity" with Lebanon in confronting current challenges and renewed Cairo's call for Israel's complete withdrawal from all Lebanese territories.
He said any violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, unity, or territorial integrity constituted a clear breach of international law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701.
The minister also underscored the importance of supporting Lebanon's state institutions, particularly the Lebanese army, so they can exercise authority and sovereignty throughout the country's territory.
Abdelatty stressed the need to ensure that arms remain exclusively under the authority of the Lebanese state, describing this as a cornerstone for preserving Lebanon's security and stability, strengthening state institutions, and protecting the interests of the Lebanese people.
He also affirmed Egypt's commitment to continuing support for Lebanon and its national institutions, citing the close ties between the two countries and Cairo's longstanding efforts to promote Lebanon's security and stability.
The call comes days after the United States and Iran announced a framework agreement intended to end the regional conflict, with Lebanon featuring prominently in the draft text.
Iranian officials have described Lebanon as an "integral part" of the agreement, while the memorandum includes commitments to halt military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, and support the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
A week ago, Abdelatty and Salam discussed Israeli military escalation in Lebanon, when Egypt reaffirmed its support for Beirut and stressed the need for Israel to fully withdraw from Lebanese territory in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
Cairo has repeatedly warned that continued Israeli violations undermine efforts by the Lebanese state to restore stability and strengthen its institutions.
The issue of state control over weapons has become increasingly central to Lebanon's political agenda under Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.
In previous remarks, Salam said the Lebanese state should hold a monopoly on arms throughout the country, while the Lebanese army has reported significant progress in extending state control in southern Lebanon under the ceasefire arrangements that followed the war with Israel before the escalation in Israeli attacks and ground invasion in March.
