The course, named after the 19th-century scholar Hassan al-Attar, was held at the newly inaugurated Al-Safwa Hall at the Strategic Command headquarters.
According to presidential spokesman Mohamed el-Shennawy, El-Sisi inaugurated the hall before the ceremony and received a briefing from Major General Walid Aref, head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Defence Minister General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Awqaf Minister Osama Al-Azhari, and several cabinet ministers attended the event.
The ceremony included a review of the training programme and research carried out by the graduating imams, as well as the announcement of the results and the graduates' oath-taking ceremony, in addition to a Quran recitation, followed by a speech by Major General Mohamed Salah El-Torky, director of the Egyptian Military Academy.
A poetry recital was also delivered by the most senior trainee and young performer Mohamed El-Qalagy concluded with a religious chant.
In his remarks, Awqaf Minister Osama Al-Azhari said the ministry was seeking to prepare a new generation of preachers capable of addressing contemporary challenges.
During the ceremony, El-Sisi invited the top 10 graduates to the stage and directed officials to examine opportunities for outstanding graduates to pursue postgraduate studies, including scholarships abroad.
The ceremony concluded with the national anthem.
Before departing, the president toured Al-Safwa Hall's dining facility and VIP lounge.
