“A Title Resembling an Unstable Image” exhibition
presented as part of the first Summer Arts Festival at the AUC, the exhibition brings together emerging talents working across sculpture, installation, painting, textiles, video, and digital image-making. Curated by Ahmed Shawky Hassan, the exhibition approaches the city as a living structure that continuously reshapes bodies, memory, and everyday relations.
Developed through research-based and documentary approaches, the works examine how political, social, and economic transformations become embedded within intimate objects and shared urban spaces. Mirrors, garments, fences, dolls, and urban infrastructure emerge as material witnesses to systems that regulate movement, visibility, belonging, and access (25 June -1 July).

Between a suspended present and an uncertain future, each of the three artists finds refuge in the past—whether real or imagined. They meet at a point beyond time and place, reconstructing a past still present (16 June- 16 July).
District 5, Marakez
New Cairo
After captivating millions across North America, Europe and Asia, “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” exhibition makes its Egyptian debut at District 5 by Marakez in New Cairo. The internationally acclaimed exhibition transforms more than 300 masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh into a fully immersive digital spectacle, projected in a stunning 360-degree immersive way onto walls, floors, and ceilings. You’ll see famous paintings like “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Terrace Café at Night” come to life with light and sound, accompanied by the artist’s own words and music. The experience is directed by the Canadian-French artist Mathieu Saint-Arnaud and his team at Studio Normal in Montreal (Tickets for the exhibition are now available. New opening times have also been added to accommodate more visitors.

French Institute in Egypt

“A thousand stories of lives transformed” exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of the French Development Agency (AFD) Group in Egypt showcasing the tangible results of this collaboration. The AFD Group entrusted the task of documenting this history to two women, Noria Tesson and Samar Bayoumi, whose professions are based on observation, listening, and bearing witness. This collaboration has resulted in a series of articles and photographs, providing concrete evidence of the profound transformation that these decades of Franco-Egyptian cooperation have brought to the lives of many (24 June - 28 July).

“The Turbulent Land” a solo exhibition by Egyptian artist Ahmed Sabry. The exhibition presents acrylic on wood and acrylic on canvas works depicting a hazy, pale gray world where details barely emerge. Bodies hang in awkward, suspended poses, straining forward yet held back. Empty eyes, frozen emotions. Figures sometimes become caricatures, but they do not provoke laughter. The series follows villagers whose ground vanished beneath them, leaving them stranded in a fight for survival and endurance (28 June - 30 July).
