The reception was hosted by Michał Murkociński, ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Egypt.
Gromadzka, who also serves as State Secretary at Poland's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, was accompanied by a delegation from the ministry, including members of the Polish Parliament, such as former Agriculture Minister Robert Telus, Alicja Łepkowska-Gołaś, and Wiesław Różyński, as well as ministry officials and representatives of Polish agri-food companies.
The visit underscored the growing importance of Polish-Egyptian cooperation in agriculture and food security.
A key highlight of the programme was the meeting between Minister Gromadzka and Egyptian Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk, together with Deputy Minister of Agriculture Mostafa El-Sayyad.
Their discussions focused on expanding bilateral cooperation, promoting agricultural trade, and identifying new areas of partnership in support of food security and sustainable agricultural development. Both the Polish and Egyptian sides expressed their shared commitment to increasing the presence of Polish agricultural and food products in bilateral trade.
The Polish delegation also held productive talks with Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Sherif Farouk. Discussions also centred on expanding the presence of Polish agri-food products on the Egyptian market and strengthening bilateral trade.
Representatives of Polish companies actively participated in the meeting, presenting their products and exploring new business opportunities with Egyptian partners.
The visit also included a meeting at the headquarters of Mostakbal Misr (Future of Egypt), a government body playing a key role in implementing Egypt's strategic development projects, including agricultural land reclamation, the import of essential food commodities such as wheat and edible oils, food production, real estate development, and industrial investments, including infant formula manufacturing.
The visit gave the Polish delegation insight into Egypt's long-term food security strategy and created opportunities for future cooperation.
"Both Poland and Egypt want much greater cooperation. We also want to expand cooperation in know-how and technology, organise missions between our two countries, and build transport and logistics corridors." Gromadzka told Ahram Online.
Regarding current relations between Poland and Egypt, particularly in agriculture, she said, "I can honestly say that it is very good and friendly."
"Last Friday, I met Ahmed Samy Mohamed Mahmoud ElAnsary, Egypt's ambassador to Poland, and we had a very productive conversation. Since arriving in Egypt, I have also had excellent discussions with the Minister of Agriculture as well as the Minister of Trade," she added.
"We already enjoy very good cooperation, and I have discovered that we can work together in many more sectors, including technology, knowledge transfer, science, and other fields," Gromadzka stated.
"As for the outcomes of this visit, I am very happy. In fact, I am already happy with what we have achieved, and I believe that in the future we will build even stronger cooperation than we have today," she expressed.
She also said the private sector has an important role to play. "We have Polish companies with Polish capital that are interested in investing in Egypt and contributing to its development. This is very important and very encouraging."
"When it comes to opportunities for investors in agriculture, Poland has many companies that produce agricultural machinery. We can supply these machines to Egypt. We can also share technology and know-how. We are ready to move forward with this cooperation," she concluded.
