The meeting coincided with Egypt’s marking of the 13th anniversary of the 30 June Revolution, which El-Sisi described earlier Tuesday as a “timeless national epic” that embodied Egyptians’ will to preserve the state’s identity and restore its course toward the future.

In a message on his official social media accounts, El-Sisi said the revolution would remain a symbol of Egyptians’ unity, ability to face challenges, and determination to build a strong modern state. He renewed his pledge to continue the path of construction, safeguard national constants, and strengthen the country’s capabilities to achieve security, stability, and progress.

The reception also came as the Armed Forces marked the 56th anniversary of the Air Defence Forces, which falls on 30 June and commemorates the completion of Egypt’s missile wall in 1970 during the War of Attrition.

On Tuesday, Lieutenant General Yasser Kamal Al-Toudi, Commander of the Air Defence Forces, said during the anniversary events that Egypt’s skies are protected by personnel at the highest levels of readiness and combat preparedness, adding that the missile wall built by earlier generations remains “strong and renewed” through modern weapons systems and continued development.
