After signing the inauguration document, the President said: “In the name of the great people of Egypt, and relying on God Almighty, we, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, announce the opening of the Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. This headquarters will stand as a monument to the great people of Egypt, embodying Egypt’s role as a force for peace and stability, a nation capable of confronting challenges and achieving its aspirations through the unity of its noble people and its valiant armed forces.”
He added: “(The Command Headquarters) ensures integrated planning and coordination across all branches of the armed forces, enhancing combat capabilities and maintaining constant readiness to effectively and efficiently face challenges using the latest advanced technologies. This will achieve the state’s strategic objectives and contribute to securing its resources. May God protect Egypt and its great people, always and forever. By God Almighty, long live Egypt! Long live Egypt! Long live Egypt!”
Defence Minister
Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher described the inauguration of the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Capital as "a glorious day in the nation's history" and "a new era of wisdom, prestige and strength."
"We are witnessing with pride today the inauguration of the Strategic Command in the New Capital, which forms part of the state's command structure, alongside the relocation of the Armed Forces General Command," Zaher said.
He added that the move would strengthen unified command and control under "a steadfast approach that believes nations are built through hard work, planning and continuous follow-up."
The defence minister said relocating key state institutions to the New Capital would maximise the value of state assets and "open promising horizons for a brighter future."
"People told us our dreams were impossible... but we all believed that dreams are only as far away as our determination," he said.
Lieutenant General Zaher stressed that Egypt "remains resilient against its enemies and a pillar of support for its brothers," adding that the country's leadership had assumed responsibility "at a decisive moment and saved the nation from the brink of the unknown."
He also praised the Armed Forces for remaining committed to their "sacred mission of protecting the homeland" while the state undergoes what he described as a comprehensive phase of national development.
The defence minister paid tribute to former Armed Forces commanders, saying, "We salute all previous military leaders who spared no effort to achieve this national accomplishment," and pledged that the military would "remain faithful to its oath and carry the responsibility entrusted to it as a deeply rooted patriotic institution."
