“The World of Football: Football Players Through the Eyes of Caricature” exhibition is showcasing around thirty caricatures by cartoonists from Egypt, Spain, and several Latin American countries (30 June - 15 July, opening hours, Sunday through Thursday, from 10.30am to 4pm).

“Fabric of Time” trio exhibition by Fatma Abu-Doma, Sara Alfazayry, and Ahmed Lesi. Between a suspended present and an uncertain future, each of the three artists finds refuge in the past—whether real or imagined. They meet at a point beyond time and place, reconstructing a past still present (16 June - 16 July). 

  

 

French Institute in Egypt

“A thousand stories of lives transformed” exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of the French Development Agency (AFD) Group in Egypt showcasing the tangible results of this collaboration. The AFD Group entrusted the task of documenting this history to two women, Noria Tesson and Samar Bayoumi, whose professions are based on observation, listening, and bearing witness. This collaboration has resulted in a series of articles and photographs, providing concrete evidence of the profound transformation that these decades of Franco-Egyptian cooperation have brought to the lives of many (24 June - 28 July).

“Beyond Black and White” new painting exhibition by Mona Omar presents a visual and philosophical experience that explores the depths of the human psyche and reinterprets human relationships through a fusion of photography and painting. It takes visitors on a journey that transcends the boundaries of traditional color, drawing on a selection of photographs and video clips that document fleeting human moments—a loving glance, a smile, or a feeling of tranquility (closing 12 July). 

 

 

Mashrabia Gallery of Contemporary Art

“The Turbulent Land” a solo exhibition of painting by Egyptian artist Ahmed Sabry. The exhibition presents acrylic on wood and acrylic on canvas works depicting a hazy, pale gray world where details barely emerge. Bodies hang in awkward, suspended poses, straining forward yet held back. Empty eyes, frozen emotions. Figures sometimes become caricatures, but they do not provoke laughter. The series follows villagers whose ground vanished beneath them, leaving them stranded in a fight for survival and endurance (28 June - 30 July, the gallery is closed in August).
