Egypt, Turkey launch ‘GOLDEN EAGLE’ joint military exercise

The joint Egyptian-Turkish military exercise "GOLDEN EAGLE" has commenced with the participation of personnel from Egypt's Paratroopers and Thunderbolt (Special Forces) units and the Turkish Special Forces.

The exercise is being held over several days at the combat training grounds of the Egyptian Paratroopers and Thunderbolt Commands.

The first phase included a series of theoretical lectures on topics aimed at aligning operational concepts and strengthening coordination among the participating forces.

An exhibition showcasing the weapons and equipment used during the exercise was also organized.

The exercise will include a series of practical activities and drills designed to achieve its objectives, facilitate the exchange of tactical expertise between the two sides, and maximize the benefits for the participating forces.

The exercise is part of the Egyptian Armed Forces' joint training programme with the armed forces of brotherly and friendly countries, with the aim of strengthening cooperation across various military fields.
