Egypt, Turkey conclude joint Anatolian Eagle 2026 air force exercise
Egypt and Turkey have concluded the joint Anatolian Eagle 2026 air exercise, held over several days at a Turkish air base with the participation of the Egyptian, Turkish, and Azerbaijani air forces, the Egyptian Armed Forces stated on Wednesday.

The exercise also featured a NATO Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) aircraft and was attended by Egyptian Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Amr Saqr, Chief of the Armed Forces Training Authority, Major General Sherif El-Arayeshi, and senior military officials from the participating countries.
According to the statement, the participating forces carried out a series of joint sorties involving multi-role fighter aircraft to practice strikes against hostile targets, the defence of critical infrastructure, counter-drone interception operations, aerial refuelling, and close air support missions for ground forces.
The Egyptian Armed Forces said the drills demonstrated the high level of precision and professionalism of the participating pilots and strengthened operational coordination among the participating air forces.
