The shipment included 775 tons of food supplies, more than 370 tons of medical and relief materials and medicines, and over 1,490 tons of fuel to operate hospitals and other vital facilities in Gaza.
The convoy consisted of several aid trucks en route to the Gaza Strip, as part of the ERC's role as Egypt's national mechanism for coordinating humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
The ERC said it has maintained a presence at the border since the outbreak of the crisis, stressing that the Rafah border crossing has never been closed from the Egyptian side.
It added that its teams remain on full alert at its logistics centres and continue efforts to deliver aid to Gaza. The total volume of assistance has exceeded one million tons since the war began, delivered with the support of more than 65,000 volunteers.
Meanwhile, the Israeli attacks have continued across Gaza despite the ceasefire in effect since October 2025, leaving several Palestinians wounded by gunfire, drone strikes, and artillery shelling over the past 48 hours.
Palestinian hospitals received seven recovered bodies and 28 wounded people during the same period, raising the number of bodies recovered since the ceasefire took effect to 799, according to Palestinian health authorities.
Medical sources said 10 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli army fire in Al-Bureij, Nuseirat, and Al-Maghraqa in the central Gaza Strip.
In northern Gaza, an Israeli drone strike on Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia wounded three security guards. Israeli drones also fired at homes near Salah Al-Din Street in the Shuja'iyya and Tuffah neighbourhoods, east of Gaza City, causing further injuries.
Israeli occupation forces also shelled areas of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza and east of Khan Younis in the south, where they carried out five demolition operations, according to Palestinian media.
Since the ceasefire began, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,098 Palestinians and wounded 3,535 others. The overall death toll since the outbreak of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023 has risen to at least 73,221, with 173,643 others wounded, according to Palestinian health authorities.
