The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and regional and international developments of mutual concern, particularly efforts to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
They stressed the need to maintain consultations, coordination, and joint action in addressing the challenges facing the region, Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said.
President El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed as an honoured guest in his second home, Egypt, stressing the special place the UAE and its president hold among the Egyptian leadership and people.
He also highlighted the strength and depth of the longstanding and multifaceted relations between Egypt and the UAE.
For his part, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed thanked El-Sisi for the warm reception and affirmed the historic and fraternal ties connecting the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.
Sunday's visit follows a series of high-level exchanges between the Egyptian and Emirati leaders. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed visited Cairo on 15 June for talks with El-Sisi on bilateral cooperation and regional developments following the announcement of a US-Iran peace agreement.
In May, El-Sisi made a brief visit to Abu Dhabi after Iranian attacks on Emirati territory and infrastructure. During the talks, he reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with the UAE, described the attacks as violations of international law and the UN Charter, and said, "What affects the UAE affects Egypt."
President El-Sisi also visited the UAE and Qatar in March amid an earlier wave of Iranian attacks, stressing that the security of Gulf countries is inseparable from Egypt's national security and calling for political negotiations and coordinated Arab action to contain the escalation.
The latest visit comes amid renewed military escalation in the Gulf.
Earlier on Sunday, Egypt condemned Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan, and Oman, describing them as violations of sovereignty and a serious threat to regional security. Cairo also called for an immediate halt to the escalation and the resumption of US-Iran talks.
