The Pharaohs made history at the World Cup by reaching the round of 16 for the first time.

The ceremony began with the players and coaching staff entering the stadium aboard an open-top bus, led by head coach Hossam Hassan and team director Ibrahim Hassan, before being greeted by cheering supporters.

Most members of the squad attended the celebration, although captain Mohamed Salah was absent, along with Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush and Hamza Abdelkarim, who joined Barcelona's preseason training camp on Monday.

The public celebration followed a presidential reception hosted by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday.
