opens its doors to reading and culture enthusiasts of all ages. The fair features a

rich programme of events and enriching cultural seminars and discussions, led by

BA Director Ahmed Zayed

The cultural programme taking place on the sidelines of this — which runs 

from 6 to 20 July— is rich and diverse, featuring 410 events, with the 

participation of more than 1,000 speakers, prominent thinkers, writers, and creative figures in literature, arts, and sciences from Egypt such as ambassador Mervat El-Talawy, writer Mohamed Salmawy, novelist Reem Bassiouny and various countries around the world.  

The programme also includes 21 additional events and seminars at BA’s Beit Al-Sinnari in the Sayeda Zeinab district, Cairo and Princess Khadega Palace in Helwan. Late gifted filmmaker Dawoud Abdel-Sayed is remembered in this year’s edition as the programme is comprising several events highlighting his artistic career.
