In three statements issued on Tuesday, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced attacks targeting Gulf states and maritime navigation, describing them as violations of international law that undermine regional stability and security.
Cairo condemned attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, saying they represented a "dangerous escalation" threatening the kingdom's security and territorial integrity while undermining efforts aimed at de-escalation and preserving regional peace and stability.
The ministry reiterated Egypt's complete rejection of any attacks that threaten the security and sovereignty of Saudi Arabia or affect the stability of countries across the region, reaffirming its full support for the kingdom in confronting any threats to its security and territorial integrity.
In a separate statement, Egypt also condemned the repeated Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan, saying they constituted unacceptable violations of the sovereignty of the four countries and posed a direct threat to their security and stability.
The ministry warned that the attacks risked widening the cycle of regional tensions and called for an immediate halt to such actions, stressing the importance of respecting international law and the principles of good neighbourliness.
Cairo reaffirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Jordan, pledging support for measures to safeguard their security, stability and national interests.
Egypt also condemned the targeting of two Emirati oil tankers while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, describing the incident as a serious violation of international law and a direct threat to the security of maritime navigation and freedom of trade through one of the world's most strategic waterways.
The Foreign Ministry said attacks on civilian vessels, infrastructure and global energy supplies were unacceptable and warned they could further fuel regional tensions.
Egypt stressed the need to uphold international law governing maritime navigation. It reaffirmed its full solidarity with the UAE, expressing support for all measures to protect the country's security and interests.
The statements come amid heightened regional tensions and growing concerns over the security of energy infrastructure and shipping routes in the Gulf, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, through which a significant share of global oil exports passes.
