Madbouly visited Al-Ammar Livestock Development Farm in Menoufiya Governorate, farms and packing facilities operated by the Egyptian International Company for Land Reclamation (Belco) in Sadat City, and a state-run livestock production and dairy processing station on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road.
According to the cabinet, the prime minister reviewed livestock production, agricultural exports, dairy processing, and genetic improvement programmes aimed at increasing meat and milk production.
During the visit to Al-Ammar Farm, Agriculture Minister Alaa Farouk said the government was expanding livestock breeding and genetic improvement programmes to raise productivity and strengthen domestic meat supplies.
Farm owner Magdy Abdel Azim said the facility accommodates 15,000 genetically improved calves, with production distributed across Egypt.
Madbouly later toured Belco's sorting, packing, and cooling facilities, where he reviewed the company's agricultural export operations.
Belco Vice President Mohsen El-Beltagy said the company, which began exporting agricultural products in 1993, now cultivates about 4,000 feddans, employs around 3,750 workers and engineers, and exports more than 20,000 tonnes of produce annually.
The prime minister also inspected a government-operated livestock production and dairy processing station, where officials outlined its breeding, milk production, and food processing operations.
Farouk said Egypt's annual red meat production had reached about 600,000 tonnes, while fresh milk production had risen to 7 million tonnes, both up 8 percent from the previous year.
He said the increase had enabled Egypt to achieve self-sufficiency in dairy products and begin exporting processed dairy products.
According to Hany Darwish, head of the Executive Authority for Land Improvement Projects, the station houses 608 head of livestock and includes an automated milking parlour, dairy and cheese processing facilities, and storage and feeding systems.
