According to Egypt's foreign ministry, Abdelatty highlighted opportunities to expand economic ties and called for increased Austrian investment in sectors including renewable energy, green hydrogen, information technology, and automotive manufacturing.
He also urged Austrian companies to explore investment opportunities in Egypt, including in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
Stocker welcomed closer cooperation with Egypt and praised Cairo's diplomatic role in addressing regional crises, particularly efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East, the foreign ministry said.
During the visit, Abdelatty and Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger held the first round of political consultations under a bilateral mechanism established last year.
The talks focused on the wars and crises across the Middle East, including Gaza, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Sudan.
According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, Abdelatty called for renewed international attention to the Palestinian issue, the implementation of the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan, unrestricted humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip, and progress towards reconstruction.
He also called for the resumption of US-Iran negotiations, saying political and diplomatic solutions remained the best way to prevent further regional escalation and protect international trade and maritime navigation.
Abdelatty emphasized the importance of enabling the Palestinian Authority (PA) to assume its responsibilities in both the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, while also condemning ongoing Israeli violations in the West Bank.
The two ministers also discussed developments in Syria, Lebanon, and Sudan, where Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all three countries.
For his part, the Austrian Chancellor praised Egypt's balanced and wise approach to regional crises, expressing appreciation for Cairo’s pivotal role and its intensive efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East, particularly regarding the Iranian crisis, and to support regional security and stability.
Stocker further affirmed Austria's commitment to continuing consultations and coordination with Egypt and further strengthening bilateral ties between both nations.
During the visit, Abdelatty signed a bilateral air services agreement to expand air links between Egypt and Austria.
He also attended the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Vienna's Art History Museum and Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities to strengthen cooperation between museums and cultural institutions.
Separately, Abdelatty met Austrian parliament speaker Walter Rosenkranz to discuss expanding parliamentary cooperation and closer coordination on migration and counterterrorism.
The foreign minister said Egypt favoured a comprehensive approach to migration that combined efforts to combat irregular migration with legal labour mobility, while calling for greater international support for countries hosting large refugee populations.
