The convoy included food parcels and flour, medical and relief supplies, medicines, and petroleum products required to operate hospitals and other vital facilities in the strip, the ERC said in a statement.
The ERC has served as Egypt’s national mechanism for coordinating humanitarian assistance to Gaza since the outbreak of the war.
The organization said it has maintained a permanent presence at the border and full readiness across its logistics centres, stressing that the Rafah border crossing has never been closed from the Egyptian side.
According to the ERC, Egypt’s humanitarian and relief assistance to Gaza has exceeded one million tons since the war began, supported by more than 75,000 volunteers.
The latest aid delivery comes amid continued international scrutiny of Israel’s conduct in Gaza and growing pressure on institutions seeking accountability for alleged violations committed during the war.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) has been investigating alleged war crimes committed in Gaza since the war began on 7 October 2023. In 2024, its judges issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant.
Israel and the United States, neither of which is a member of the court, reject its jurisdiction.
On Wednesday, the US-based rights groups Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN) and Taxpayers Alliance Against Genocide filed a lawsuit in a Manhattan federal court challenging sanctions imposed by the Trump administration over cooperation with the ICC’s investigations into Israel.
The groups said the sanctions had forced them to halt submissions and evidence-sharing with the court, restrict cooperation with sanctioned Palestinian organizations, and censor advocacy work for fear of fines or imprisonment.
Washington has imposed sanctions on Palestinian human rights organizations, ICC judges and officials, a former chief prosecutor, and UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese as part of its campaign against the court's Gaza investigations.
