The shipment, dispatched as part of the ERC’s role as Egypt’s national mechanism for coordinating aid deliveries to the strip, comprised approximately 1,769 tonnes of food parcels and flour, more than 260 tonnes of medical and relief supplies and medicines, and around 1,435 tonnes of petroleum products needed to operate hospitals and other vital facilities in Gaza.
The ERC said it has maintained a continuous presence at the border since the outbreak of the war, stressing that the Rafah crossing has never been closed from the Egyptian side.
It added that its logistics centres have remained on alert to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
According to the organization, Egypt has coordinated the delivery of more than one million tonnes of aid to the strip since the beginning of the crisis, with the participation of over 75,000 ERC volunteers.
The aid convoy comes amid continued Israeli attacks across Gaza despite the ceasefire that took effect in October 2025.
Israeli attacks on Saturday killed 10 Palestinians, including three children and their parents, after a strike hit their apartment in northwest Gaza City, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency. Three other civilians were killed in the Zeitoun neighbourhood, while two people were killed elsewhere in the strip.
A day earlier, an Israeli strike on a funeral in the Nuseirat refugee camp killed at least eight mourners and wounded 22 others. The funeral was being held for a Palestinian killed in an earlier attack that day.
Israeli occupation forces also shelled civilians near the Dawla roundabout in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood and advanced east of Deir Al-Balah, temporarily moving concrete markers delineating the Israeli-imposed “yellow line” around 100 metres westward. Palestinian sources say the zone now encompasses approximately 70 percent of Gaza.
The Palestinian health ministry said the occupation army has killed at least 1,144 Palestinians since the October ceasefire took effect, bringing the total death toll of Israel's genocidal war on the strip to 73,264 Palestinians, most of them women and children.
