The ministers welcomed growing momentum in relations between the two countries under their strategic partnership, Egypt's foreign ministry said.
They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding political, economic and investment cooperation, according to the ministry.
Abdelatty also praised Greece's support for Egypt within European Union institutions and stressed the importance of the trilateral cooperation mechanism between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus, describing it as a key framework for advancing cooperation across a range of sectors.
The call also covered the latest regional developments, with Abdelatty outlining Egypt's diplomatic efforts to help de-escalate tensions and promote dialogue as a means of resolving the current crisis and strengthening regional security and stability.
The two ministers agreed to maintain close coordination and consultations in support of bilateral ties and efforts to reduce tensions across the region, the ministry said.
Egypt and Greece have significantly deepened ties in recent years, elevating their relationship to a strategic partnership during Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's visit to Athens in May 2025.
The two countries cooperate closely on energy, migration, security and Eastern Mediterranean issues, with the flagship GREGY electricity interconnection project aimed at exporting renewable energy from Egypt to Europe via Greece.
Alongside Cyprus, they also maintain a trilateral cooperation mechanism focused on regional stability, energy and economic cooperation.
