The convoy, launched under the “Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza” initiative, comprises several trucks loaded with tons of humanitarian assistance, according to the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), the national coordination body for aid delivery to Gaza.

The ERC said the convoy carried food parcels, flour, medicines, medical supplies, relief materials, and fuel to keep hospitals and other vital facilities operating in Gaza.

The dispatch comes as part of Egypt's continued efforts to help ease the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza amid Israel’s ongoing strikes.

Since the war began, Egypt has delivered more than one million tons of aid to the strip, accounting for nearly 70 percent of all assistance sent to Gaza, with the support of nearly 75,000 ERC volunteers.

Meanwhile, Israel has continued its attacks on Palestinians in violation of the ceasefire agreement signed in October 2025.

Since Israel launched its genocidal war in October 2023, Israeli strikes have killed over 73,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 173,000 others, mostly women and children.

The Israeli attacks have also devastated hospitals and other vital infrastructure, destroyed 70 percent of Gaza's homes, and displaced more than two million people.
