The meeting came as Egypt and Mozambique mark 50 years of diplomatic relations.
Abdelatty called for closer economic, trade and investment ties and encouraged greater participation by Egyptian companies in Mozambique's development projects, particularly in infrastructure, energy, education and capacity building.
He also said Egypt hoped to convene the third session of the Egyptian-Mozambican Joint Committee in the near future to advance bilateral cooperation.
The talks included cooperation in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, with Abdelatty reaffirming Egypt's readiness to share its experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare to support medicine production and distribution across member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
According to the foreign ministry, Abdelatty also called for stronger security and military cooperation, particularly in counterterrorism, and expanded training programmes through Egyptian educational and development institutions.
The two ministers also discussed developments across Africa, including the Horn of Africa and the Great Lakes region, and agreed to continue coordinating on regional issues through bilateral and multilateral channels.
