According to the ERC, the national coordination body for aid delivery to Gaza, the convoy comprises several trucks loaded with food parcels, flour, medical and relief supplies, and fuel to keep hospitals and vital facilities operating in the strip.

The Egyptian aid convoy, launched under the Zad El-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza initiative, comes as part of Cairo’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza and alleviating their suffering.

Since October 2023, Egypt has delivered over one million tonnes of assistance to the strip, representing nearly 70 percent of all aid sent to Gaza, with the contribution of nearly 75,000 ERC’s volunteers.

Egypt has also been exerting intensive diplomatic efforts, in coordination with Qatar, Turkey, and the US, in mediating and consolidating the Gaza ceasefire deal, signed during the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace in October 2025.

Meanwhile, Israel has violated the deal, continuing its deadly aggression on Gaza, killing over 73,000 and wounding more than 173,000 others, mostly women and children.

The Israeli strikes have also devastated hospitals and vital infrastructure in Gaza, destroying 70 percent of Gaza’s homes, and displacing over two million people.
