The release marks one of the biggest Arabic music launches of the summer, featuring 14 new songs and collaborations with a host of prominent lyricists, composers and producers.
Hosny first unveiled the album title last week through a teaser campaign on social media, initially revealing only the artwork and the word “Soon” before confirming therelease.
According to Egyptian media reports, the singer had originally planned to release the songs individually before deciding shortly before launch to present them as a complete album.
The album’s lyricists include Amir Teima, Tamer Hussein, Ahmed El Maleki, Mostafa Nasser, Mostafa Haddouta and Mohamed El Qayati, while the composers includes Amr Mostafa, Mohamed Yehia, Aziz El Shafie, Ehab Abdel Wahed, Bilal Sorour and Karim Mohsen.
Musical arrangements are handled by Adel Haqqi, Galal Fahmy, El Nabulsi, Galal El Hamdawy, Sherif Makawy, Khaled Nabil, Ahmed Abdel Salam, Yehia Youssef, Klobix, Elhami Dehema and Ahmed Hossam.
Hosny remains one of the Arab world’s most commercially successful entertainers, balancing careers in music and cinema for more than two decades.
Since emerging in the early 2000s, he has built a catalogue of hit albums alongside a string of successful films, earning a reputation for blending contemporary pop with romantic ballads while writing and composing many of his own songs.
The release of Mesh Hatkarar comes amid a busy summer season for Arabic pop, with several leading artists unveiling new albums in recent weeks, intensifying competition for listeners during one of the year’s busiest periods for music releases.
Following the album’s release, Hosny shared behind-the-scenes moments from themaking of the record, offering a glimpse into his collaborations with Amr Mostafa, Tamer Hussein, Aziz El Shafie and other songwriters, composers and producers who contributed to the project.
