Egypt Air Force announces EIAS 2026 for September

The Egyptian Air Force announced on Sunday that it will launch the second edition of the El-Alamein International Airshow (EIAS 2026) on 8-10 September in Alamein City, under the patronage of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The announcement was made during a press conference attended by Commander of the Egyptian Air Force Lieutenant General Amr Saqr, Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny, Egyptian Space Agency CEO Maged Ismail, and Chief of the Armed Forces Armament Authority Major General Mohamed Adly.

Present were also several ministers, senior Armed Forces commanders, military attachés accredited to Egypt, and representatives of leading global aviation companies.

During the presser, Saqr affirmed Egypt's full readiness to host the second edition of the EIAS, describing it as one of the world's leading aviation and space exhibitions that bring together prominent figures in aerospace, defence, space, aviation, and navigation technology.

He said the event aims to open new avenues for cooperation between Egypt and countries around the world in various fields, including military, commercial, and private aircraft manufacturing, aviation equipment, and space technology.

On his side, El-Hefny said the exhibition provides an outstanding platform for cooperation, the exchange of ideas, and showcasing the latest technological advancements across the aviation sector. He also highlighted the Armed Forces' key role in organising the global event in Egypt.

During the presser, Ismail described the exhibition as a distinguished gathering for leading international organisations specialising in defence, armaments, aviation, and space technology, noting that it is expected to attract broad participation from regional and international institutions.

Adly, for his part, stressed the importance of the exhibition in showcasing the latest developments in air armament, aircraft, drones, trends and technologies in the global defence system.

EIAS 2026 is expected to feature an open display of the latest aircraft at Alamain International Airport, alongside exciting air shows, underscoring Egypt's commitment to becoming a leading hub for aviation and an emerging force in the aviation and space technology industries.

The event forms part of the Egyptian Armed Forces' efforts to host major international exhibitions and events in various military fields.
