The World Championship is currently taking place in Hong Kong, from 22 to 30 July.
Egypt was represented in the team event by a formidable roster including Mohamed El-Sayed, Youssef Shamel, Mahmoud Mohsen, and Mahmoud El-Sayed.
The Pharaohs' impressive campaign began in the round of 32, where they comfortably dispatched Portugal 44-33. Then they dug deep in the round of 16, securing a narrow 36-35 win over Spain.
In the quarterfinals, the Egyptian squad delivered a dominant performance to eliminate their Russian counterparts with a score of 45-35.
Egypt’s run for gold was halted in the semifinals with a 41-32 defeat to Kazakhstan, but the team bounced back brilliantly to claim the bronze medal at Israel's expense.
