The 27-year-old center back missed the entire past season following a knee anterior cruciate ligament tear in April 2025.
Nice marked Abdelmonem's return by posting a picture of him taking part in the training session on their official social media, captioned: " Back with the squad. Egypt stopper Mohamed Abdelmonem has returned from World Cup duty."
Abdelmonem was part of Egypt’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he came in as a late substitute in the second group-stage match against New Zealand, followed by playing 14 minutes against Iran in the group stage before injury forced him off.
Abdelmonem joined Nice from Egyptian giants Ahly in the summer of 2024 on a four-year deal worth $4 million, taking part in 18 games for the French side across all competitions.
Nice, who escaped relegation last season after coming 16th in the Ligue 1 standings, are set to play three pre-season friendlies, taking on Juventus on Friday, Cagliari on 8 August, and Hull City on 15 August, before opening their league campaign against Lorient on 22 August.
