The calls with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani came as part of ongoing consultations and coordination between Egypt and its Gulf partners over regional security challenges.
The discussions focused on the need to halt military escalation and prioritize political and diplomatic solutions to address regional crises.
During his conversation with the Saudi foreign minister, Abdelatty and Prince Faisal exchanged views on developments in the region and efforts aimed at containing tensions and preventing the expansion of conflict.
They stressed the importance of continued close coordination between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to support regional security and stability and safeguard the interests of the region’s countries and peoples.
In his call with Bahrain’s foreign minister, Abdelatty discussed ways to intensify efforts to de-escalate tensions and create conditions conducive to reviving political and diplomatic tracks for resolving regional crises.
The two ministers also emphasized the importance of respecting international law, protecting maritime security, and ensuring freedom of navigation in international waterways to preserve the security and stability of the region.
Earlier on Monday, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, during which the two leaders discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional developments and efforts to promote security and stability.
Abdelatty and Al Zayani also reaffirmed the importance of continued coordination between Egypt and Bahrain, building on the momentum in bilateral relations and supporting joint Arab efforts.
