"Real Madrid CF and Vinicius Jr have reached an agreement to extend our player’s contract, keeping him at the club until June 30, 2032," the club said in a statement.
The 26-year-old winger had just one year remaining on his previous deal, which was set to expire in June 2027. Real Madrid did not disclose the financial terms of the extension.
The decision quells persistent transfer speculation linking the Brazil star to Premier League side Arsenal and provides a major boost to Real as they rebuild under Jose Mourinho in his second spell in charge.
Vinicius has established himself as a cornerstone of the squad since arriving in 2018 as an 18-year-old, scoring 128 goals in 375 appearances. His key contributions have helped Los Blancos lift two Champions League titles and three La Liga crowns.
However, the long-term commitment comes during a rare barren spell for the club, who have gone without a major trophy for two seasons while eternal rivals Barcelona secured back-to-back La Liga titles.
