Abdelatty and Fidan praised the recent momentum in Egyptian-Turkish relations.
They stressed the importance of following up on the outcomes of the first High-Level Strategic Cooperation meeting, which was held in Cairo in February 2026 under the chairmanship of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The two ministers also stressed the importance of continuing strategic dialogue and expanding economic, trade, and investment cooperation.
They also addressed the latest regional developments and efforts to reduce escalation and contain tensions.
Moreover, Abdelatty and Fidan exchanged views on regional security arrangements, emphasizing the urgency of reaching comprehensive, sustainable understandings to strengthen regional security and stability.
The two sides also discussed developments in the Palestinian issue. They stressed the need for an immediate halt to the escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories, including the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
They also urged full implementation of the first and second phases of US President Donald Trump's peace plan, including Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
