Al-Riyadh SC unveiled their new signing on X with a video titled "From the Land of Kinana to Al-Wusta School," without disclosing the duration or financial terms of the contract.
The 31-year-old forward was available on a free transfer after agreeing to mutually terminate his contract with Egyptian giants Ahly last month, allowing him to embark on a new chapter in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Riyadh SC confirmed the signing only after receiving their financial fair-play certificate, having met the requirements set by the league federation.
Trezeguet has built an extensive career spanning roughly a decade outside Egypt, turning out for clubs across several European and Arab leagues.
The Egyptian international began his career in Ahly’s youth teams before earning his first-team debut in 2012.
During his initial spell with the Red Devils, he scored 18 goals and provided 9 assists in 75 appearances, helping them win back-to-back CAF Champions League titles in 2012 and 2013, alongside the CAF Confederation Cup in 2014.
In 2015, he moved on loan to Belgian club Anderlecht, where he made 11 appearances, before enjoying a fruitful spell with Belgia's Royal Excel Mouscron, scoring 7 goals and creating 5 more in 28 matches.
He then established himself as a dominant forward in Turkey with Kasimpasa, recording an impressive 25 goals and 18 assists in 71 appearances.
His standout performances in Turkey earned him a move to English Premier League side Aston Villa in 2019, where he netted nine goals and provided five assists in 64 matches.
Trezeguet later returned to the Turkish Super Lig to play for İstanbul Basaksehir, scoring 6 goals and providing 4 assists in 13 matches, and then Trabzonspor, where he racked up 23 goals and 11 assists in 70 appearances.
He also experienced a loan spell in Qatar with Al-Rayyan, contributing six goals and three assists in 19 appearances, before returning briefly to Ahly last summer.
At international level, Trezeguet has earned 100 caps for Egypt and was part of the squad that reached the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup.
