Salah, who joined Trabzonspor in a high-profile transfer last week, started the game on the bench and received a warm welcome from Trabzonspor supporters at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium.
Trabzonspor took the lead two minutes before halftime when Noah Saviolo struck from inside the area.
Adrian Benedyczak equalised for the hosts from the penalty spot in the 55th minute.
Three minutes later, Trabzonspor coach Fatih Tekki called on Salah from the bench to make his debut for the club.
Salah missed a clear chance in the 70th minute after controlling the ball inside the area, sending his effort over the bar.
The Egypt international again delivered a set-piece into the area, but Trabzonspor forward Paul Onuachu failed to find the net.
Salah, 34, joined Trabzonspor as a free agent on a two-year contract reportedly worth around 34 million euros after a stellar spell with Liverpool.
He has already made an impact off the field, with Trabzonspor reaching their target of 25,000 season-ticket sales and setting a new club record following his high-profile arrival.
