The Egyptian forward, who made a surprise move to the Turkish league earlier this month after spending nine years at Premier League giants Liverpool, made his Trabzonspor debut on Saturday in their league opener.
Salah started the game on the bench before playing the final 30 minutes of his side’s 1-1 draw against Kasimpasa.
“Playing with Salah on the same pitch is a great honour,” Saviolo told a news conference on Wednesday.
“He is a great player. Playing with him at the same club was a dream come true.
“Salah is a wonderful player and I am very happy to play with him,” added the winger, who scored Trabzonspor’s only goal against Kasimpasa.
Trabzonspor are set to face Hungary’s Ferencvaros in the Europa League playoff on Thursday, and coach Fatih Tekke said the Egyptian forward could play more minutes than he did against Kasimpasa.
“Salah has a chance to play more minutes in the Europa League game against Ferencvaros,” Tekke told a news conference on Wednesday.
