“The club has reached an agreement with Fenerbahce for Egyptian defender Omar Fayed Abdel-Wahab, who will sign a four-year contract with the club,” Frosinone said in a statement on their website.
Fayed, a product of the Arab Contractors youth academy, left the Egyptian Premier League in the summer of 2023 to join Turkish side Fenerbahce but failed to make an appearance for the first team.
He spent the past three seasons on loan at Serbia’s FK Novi Pazar, Belgium’s Beerschot VA and Portuguese side FC Arouca, respectively.
“Playing in Serie A is a big deal for me,” Fayed told the club’s official YouTube channel.
“I want to achieve something with this club and I cannot wait to play. I have ambition, and I will do my best to help the team.”
Frosinone, who were promoted to Serie A, will begin their campaign on Sunday with a difficult test against Italian giants Juventus.
