Egyptian state TV reported the Supreme Electoral Commission has announced that all citizens who arrive at polling stations before 11pm, the designated time for closing the polls, will be able to cast their votes in the referendum on the constitution.
Earlier on Saturday, the commission had extended voting hours from 9 to 11pm due to what it described as heavy voter turnout.
