Egyptian writer and journalist Ibrahim Issa has been included in a shortlist of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF), which was announced 9 January at a press conference in Tunis. Issa is the only Egyptian writer alongside Iraqi Sinan Antoon, Lebanese Jana Elhassan, Saudi Mohammed Hassan Alwan, Saud Alsanousi and the Tunisian Hussein Al-Wad.
The IPAF board of trustees also revealed the names of the Judging Panel, which is chaired by Egyptian writer and academic Galal Amin.
