The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) is in talks with the interior ministry to lift the ongoing crowd ban in Premier League games, Ahram Sport reported on Friday.
Egypt's premier domestic competition is set to resume on Tuesday after being briefly suspended following the mass rallies that culminated in the ouster of President Mohamed Morsi on Wednesday.
The EFA had imposed an indefinite crowd ban earlier this year in the wake of fan troubles in some regional and continental encounters featuring the so-called big three - Ahly, Zamalek and Ismaily.
However, the fans of the three sides defied the ban, storming several army-owned stadiums in recent league games.
The final group-stage games are due to take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The EFA is yet to announce the timing of the final mini-league phase due to the ongoing political instability.
Zamalek, who have not won the title since 2004, will compete with arch-rivals Ahly, Ismaily and ENPPI for the prestigious accolade.
