Cairo giants Ahly have refused a loan deal offer from an English Championship side for striker Mohamed Nagy Gedo, who is currently on loan with Premier League outfit Hull City.
Gedo joined Hull City on a six-month loan deal in August after making an impact with them during their promotion campaign at the beginning of the year.
The 29-year-old striker failed, however, to book a regular place in Hull City's squad this season, with talks opening on his return to base club Ahly.
"Ahly received a formal letter from Hull City informing them that there is a formal offer from an English second division team to loan Gedo until the end of the ongoing season," Ahly football director Hady Khashaba told the club's official website Saturday.
Ahly is willing to take Gedo back to boost their frontline during the Egyptian Premier League, as well as African Champions League games.
"We responded to that letter refusing the offer and asked Hull's management to allow the player back to Ahly in case they don't want to complete the current loan deal," Khashaba concluded.
