On Friday 24 October Marcel Khalife perfomed at Al Azhar Park to a large audience gathered in front of the Lake Stage.

Khalife came to Egypt with his most recent project that goes under the name Marcel, Rami & Bachar Khalife and which is a family-project with his two sons, also renowned independent musicians.

Moving between acoustic, traditional and electronic music, the trio is an artistic amalgam of Marcel Khalife's musical legacy and modern sounds, with Rami performing on piano and electronic synthesizers, accompanied by Bachar on percussion.

Khalife adds that the trio is an artistic exchange between the musicians. "Our cooperation is in large part based on recalling memories," Marcel Khalife told Ahram Online, calling the trio's collaboration a "love story."
