The third edition of the Backstreet Festival kicked off in Alexandria on 16 October.

The festival runs until 22 October with performances from Egyptian and international troupes, with shows spanning across Alexandria and a few reaching Cairo.

Ahram Online documented the first two days that took place at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina's plaza and great hall, showcasing performances by Egyptian percussion troupe Street Beat, Faith in God acrobats from Kenya, Parada Narrnia from Germany and Secret Circus from Austria.
