The third edition of the Arab Forum for Puppet Art and Shadow Puppets opened on 29 October and runs until 4 November, including puppet theatre shows, workshops, seminars and an exhibition at Hanager Arts Centre.

The exhibition captures a few decades of puppet making in Egypt through works by over 30 artists of all generations, including the iconic puppets by artist Nagi Shaker.

This year, the forum honoured a Palestinian director Adel Al-Tarteer and Am Saber El-Masry, Egypt’s oldest Aragouz player.
