Picture of the day: Throne room of Mohammed Ali Tewfik in Manial Palace

The palace was built by Prince Mohamed Ali son of Khedive Mohamed Tawfiq to revive Islamic arts and honour them.

The construction of the residence palace began in 1901 AD.

It is located in the Manial district of Rhoda Island on the Nile in central Cairo.
