Some protesters were playing drums and singing songs associated with the Ahly Ultras, harcore fans of Ahly football club.

 

The incident comes as Egypt witnesses an increase in rioting and protests in the run up to a 9th March court ruling. The outcome will decide the fate of dozens of people - including security personnel - accused of involvement in last year's Port Said stadium massacre which left at least 72 Ahly fans dead.
