VIDEO: Bestselling book Taxi adapted to theatre

Bilingual theatre company The Thousand Tongues presents its bilingual adaptation of Khaled AlKhamissi's bestselling book Taxi in Cairo's new downtown culture space Vent

In their first performance, bilingual theatrical company The Thousand Tongues will perform their adaptation of Khaled AlKhamissi's bestselling book Taxi in downtown Cairo's new art space Vent on 22, 26, 27, and 29 January.

The book, first published in 2006, is a candid portrait of the corruption, politics and double standards of life in pre-revolutionary Cairo, depicted via a number of conversations with taxi drivers which the author documented over the course of a year.
