The Coordinating Committee of the Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) approved on Wednesday the chairmanship of Egypt and the European Union of the forum each for two years, succeeding Canada and Morocco.

Egypt asserted that the growing terrorist threats facing different countries across the globe, especially African ones, require a boost in international coordination to address them, said Mohamed Fouad, director of the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s International Counter-Terrorism Unit.
