Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN Climate Change High Level Champion for Egypt, stated on Tuesday that developed countries have not yet fulfilled the pledges they made at Copenhagen’s UN Climate Change Conference to finance climate action in developing countries by $100 billion annually, although this sum, even if fulfilled, would represent no more than 3 percent of the required climate action financing.
