On behalf of Africa, Egypt will host the the 27th session of the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP27) in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh in November with the world picking up speed in its race against climate change to limit the rise in Earth's temperature to 1.5 degrees Celsius. COP takes place annually in a different host city.
