For the first time, the United Nations will officially commemorate on Monday the 75th anniversary of the mass displacement of Palestinians known as “Nakba " or “catastrophe,” that led to displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from what is now Israel – an action stemming from the UN’s partition of British-ruled Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states.
