Omar Marmoush has emerged as one of Egypt's brightest football talents and the leading figure of the Pharaohs' next generation. Born in Cairo in 1999 and developed at Wadi Degla, he built his reputation in Germany before enjoying a prolific spell with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 27 league goals in 46 appearances. His performances earned him a move to Premier League champions Manchester City in January 2025.

Often viewed as the natural heir to Mohamed Salah, Marmoush combines pace, technical ability and clinical finishing. He made his debut for Egypt under Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz in 2021 and, only months later, featured in the Africa Cup of Nations final, where Egypt fell to Senegal.

At 27, Marmoush has already earned 49 caps and scored 10 goals for his country. A dynamic forward capable of creating and finishing chances, he is increasingly becoming a central figure in Egypt's attack and one of the players expected to lead the national team into a new era.

With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon and Salah entering the latter stages of his career, expectations are growing around Marmoush. Many Egyptians see him as the player best placed to carry the torch and lead the Pharaohs on football's biggest stage.
