The countdown to the early legislative elections in Iraq, scheduled for 10 October, began with the participation of the majority of parties and nationalities across the country. All of them target a majority of seats to form a government alone, which is difficult in the outcome of what the national consensus has decided since the 2005 constitution on the division of the three presidencies.
